SCUL Sessions #2: Richard Chivers
For our second SCUL Session we are delighted to welcome Richard to present his project: Where Two Rivers Collide, an ongoing project documenting landscapes around Southampton and the confluence of the Itchen and Test chalk rivers.
As well as Richard’s presentation there will be an opportunity to ask Richard questions about the project and his practice more generally.

About Richard Chivers
Richard is a documentary photographer whose work generally focuses on the shaping and re-shaping of the British landscape. How we as humans modify the urban and natural environment. To shape it to our everyday needs through infrastructure, industry, housing and leisure and how these affect and shape our world.
Richard has received several Arts Council awards to make, curate and exhibit his work, exhibiting across the UK and Internationally. His work has been published in various magazines including BJP, Source, Hotshoe, Wallpaper and Dezeen, amongst many others.
He was the Co Founder of the photography collective Human Endeavour who exhibited internationally including the Brighton Photo Fringe and the Format International Photography Festival in Derby. With the projects Degeneration and The Glasgow Effect. He is now a member of the MAP6 Collective whose recent work includes projects in Milton Keynes, The Shetland Islands, Finland, Italy, Wales and Knoydart Scotland.
